Blockchain platform Chainlink (LINK) has launched two of its own new services

10.06.2022
Blockchain marketplace Chainlink (LINK) launched two of its own services, Chainlink Keepers and Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF), and combined them into the Avalanche Primary Network, a special subnet on the Avalanche (AVAX) marketplace.

In a statement, the Chainlink team emphasized that the merger with Avalanche is taking place in order to keep the creators within the boundaries of the site. Chainlink Keepers will enable developers to automate smart contract functions in a dispersed way. On the other hand, Chainlink VRF will offer a random number generator (RNG), which is often used in most decentralized add-ons (DApps) that need randomness.

Ava Labs founder and CEO Emin Gün Sirer spoke about the importance of specifying an association for those building in Avalanche, and also said that this will help "simplify the practice of the creator and client." In addition, the Avalanche executive said that this will lead to improved functionality and design in DApps. He noted that:

"The Avalanche conglomerate has dedicated creators on staff, making it much easier to build and ship high-volume applications quickly."

One of the founders of Chainlink, Sergey Nazarov, expressed his own thoughts and emotions regarding the innovation in development, explained that the implementation will enable the creators to install add-ons for smart contracts with end-to-end automation, as well as use the proven RNG to any add-on on the site. At the end of winter, Chainlink launched another variant of its VRF function. Using this feature, the Chainlink marketplace proposes randomly drawn numbers and provides cryptographic proof that the given value has been discovered by integrating certain blocks and Oracle's private key.

A little earlier in the early summer, Chainlink launched value channels on the Solana (SOL) blockchain. This feature enables the developers of the Solana platform to use the BTC/USD, ETH/USD and USDC/USD value channels in their add-ons.
